The Jore's Biography

The Jore's are a fun and talented family that love to entertain and share their love of Christ through their music. Phil led Bible Camp ministry for youth & adults for 17 years. He is a veteran of the stage having performed with the Minnesota Opera Company as well as numerous lead roles in plays and musicals. While he still performs the challenging classical repertoire, he is just as much at home with the guitar picking out a country gospel song or squeezing out a tune on the accordion. His wife, C'Dale has a special gift for working with young people, and teaches fiddle and guitar lessons. She sings and plays the bass, banjo, guitar & mandolin.
Their youngest daughter, Schatzi is a delightfully talented 16 year old, who at last count plays 17 different instruments. In the fall of 2004, at age 12 she recorded her first CD, a fun collection of fiddle, guitar, mandolin, cello, flute and yodeling! Her second CD, entitled "Living Love" was released in the fall of 2006 along with the Jore's first family album, "Railway to Heaven". The Jore's can play a little of everything from classical to gospel and old time. Karli is 25, has performed since age 10 & Schatzi has performed since age 2 with the family throughout the region. Schatzi performed at Norsk Høstfest in Minot, ND in 2004, 2005 & 2006. Other credits include 2008 Teddy Talent Trek vocal & original composition finalist, 2006 Renville County Fair Talent Show finalist, 2005 Teddy Talent Trek winner and guest on the Medora Musical stage, 2005 at Trail's End Ranch Bible Camp in Ekalaka, MT and 2004 North Dakota Homeschool Convention in Fargo, ND.
The family has been on tour doing festivals, schools & churches in Colorado, Washington, Minnesota, North Dakota, Montana and Canada doing church services, concerts & school assemblies. Both girls have taught violin & piano students from age 2 to adult for many years. Along with her love for music, Schatzi's hobbies include riding and training her horses. She aspires to be a pilot.
Their older daughter, Karli is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. Karli is the founder of the Jore Fiddle School, then graduated with an acting degree from Rosebud School of the Arts, a faith based theater college in Alberta, Canada. Among her many credits, she played the lead role & produced an original play she authored, entitled "Thin Ice". Her career took her to Minneapolis acting, singing & fiddling in the musical "Big River", a Huck Finn show. Karli plays the violin, guitar, banjo, bass, flute, accordion, piano, mandolin & sings. She resides in Williston with her husband, Sam Keck. Sam joins us on the guitar, banjo and his charming baritone vocals. They have recently returned from Hawaii where they pursued acting & film making. Our first grandchild, Piper Shantel was born July 26. We can hardly wait until she can hold a fiddle!

In addition to their love for wholesome music, this family is equally passionate about their faith in God!
